Description

Begin your trip early in the morning, leaving for the historic city of Besalú, which is approximately an hour and a half from Barcelona. Besalú is known for its well-preserved medieval complex, as well as its impressive fortified bridge. We will visit the famous Besalú Bridge, a Romanesque architectural work that offers impressive views over the Fluviá River. Next, we will immerse ourselves in the Jewish history of Besalú with a visit to the Miqvé, Jewish baths from the 12th century, which are one of the few structures of this type preserved in Europe. This place is not only a sample of medieval architecture, but also a testimony to the city's rich Jewish heritage. Take the opportunity to explore the Call, or Jewish quarter, where you can appreciate the narrow streets that were once full of life and commerce. Later, around noon, we will head towards Peratallada, which is about 45 minutes from Besalú. Once there, enjoy a walk through its cobbled streets and marvel at the stone facades that characterize this town. Plaza de les Voltes is the heart of Peratallada, known for its well-preserved medieval center. After lunch, we continue our trip to Pals, a small town located about 20 minutes from Peratallada. In Pals you can walk through its narrow streets that will transport you to another era. Be sure to visit the Torre de les Hores, an impressive viewpoint that offers panoramic views of the surrounding area. Finally, around 5:00 p.m., your return to Barcelona begins, ending a day full of explorations and beautiful discoveries in three of the most charming medieval towns in Catalonia.
