Enjoy a full day tour departing from Girona city to explore the most breathtaking part of the Costa Brava area, near the border to France! The first visit will be in the Natural Park of Cap de Creus located to the North-East of the Iberian Peninsula, where we can enjoy from the cliffs of spectacular views over the Gulf of Roses. We can visit the lighthouse and walk around to see the vegetation and rocky formations that characterize it (between June and September this part of the Natural Park is closed due the high risk of fire). After we will go to Cadaqués, the place more often reproduced in paintings by Dalí and where the artist lived for many years (cala de Portlligat). we will be able to walk through the town, its streets made with spike-shaped stones, its beaches and visit the Church of Santa Maria located in the highest area of the village. After lunch we will visit the impressive monastery of Sant Pere de Rodes, situated in a privileged place, in the Verdera mountains, within the Rodes mountains chain at 520m high with a visual domain of the Bay of Port de la Selva and the northern part of the massif of Cap de Creus. The origin of the monastery is wrapped by the legends, linked to archaeological and historical questions, gives the site a certain air of mystery. part of the legend, the monastery and in particular his Church is regarded as one of the main exponents of the Romanesque in Catalonia for their great originality.
