Description
We will start our trip from your hotel in Barcelona at the agreed time. Our first stop will be the city of Girona, known as the 'city of the four rivers'. We will start our tour at the Stone Bridge (Pont de Pedra), an iconic place to enjoy the panoramic views of the Onyar River and the famous colorful houses that line its banks. From there, we continue to the Barri Vell, Girona's old town, which is a maze of narrow cobblestone streets full of history. Here, we will visit Girona Cathedral, known for its impressive baroque façade and for having the widest gothic nave in the world. In addition to being a prominent scene of the series 'Game of Thrones'. We will culminate our visit to the city of Girona walking along its ancient walls. A tour that will offer spectacular views of the city and its surroundings. The walls are accessible from various points in the old town and provide a unique perspective of how the city defended itself in times past. We continue our journey to the picturesque medieval villages, starting with Pals. Upon arrival we will head to the Mirador del Pedró, one of the highest points in the village. From here, you will enjoy a spectacular panoramic view that takes in the rice fields, the Empordà plain and, on clear days, even the Pyrenees. This is the perfect place to take some photos and capture the beauty of the surroundings. From the viewpoint, we will descend through the narrow streets flanked by stone houses adorned with colorful flowers. We will visit the Torre de les Hores, a 12th century Romanesque tower that used to be part of the old defensive wall. Its name comes from the bell tower added in the 15th century. The tower is one of the emblems of Pals and offers a fascinating insight into medieval architecture. In Pals we can enjoy the rich Mediterranean gastronomy of the village taking time for lunch. Afterwards, just 10 minutes by car, we will drive to Peratallada, another beautiful medieval village with castle, walls, moats and palaces. Once there, we will enjoy a stroll through its cobbled streets and stone facades that characterize this village. The Plaza de les Voltes is the heart of Peratallada, known for its well-preserved medieval center. Finally, we will return to Barcelona and drop you off at your hotel, completing a day full of history, culture and breathtaking landscapes. Finally, we will close this adventurous day by returning to Barcelona.Includes
