Description

This is a deep dive into Dali´s art and a walk through his life. We'll draw a full picture with in-depth explanations as we dive into Salvador´s crazily creative and imaginative mind. We visit the two towns where he grew up, this way we go to his roots and follow his footsteps. On our way to his birthplace we have plenty of time to talk and we'll make sure that we prepare you as well as we can for your visit to the museum with a rich and engaging introduction to Dalí’s world. We land in “Figueres”, Dali´s birthtown, and we visit his famous museum. Prepare yourself for a living hallucination. After a brief introduction inside the museum you're free to explore, wonder, and get lost in Dalí’s imagination at your own pace. We want to leave room for personal interpretation, something that the artist gave a lot of importance to. Afterwards we head to the town of “Cadaqués”, known as the 'Pearl of the Costa Brava', an idyllic Mediterranean-style fisherman´s village. We enjoy a scenic drive with stunning views. Surrounding the town of Cadaqués is a protected nature reserve famous for its geology and unique rocky coastline, an area which fueled Dalí´s imagination, called Cap de Creus. This typical Dalinian scenery will make you feel like you are stuck inside one of his paintings. We will have free time to spend in Cadaqués to enjoy a delicious Mediterranean meal and to visit this very picturesque old village, it´s a must-see! Afterwards, we continue with another scenic drive through the area as we slowly make our way to the next bay, the Portlligat Bay. We conclude with a visit to Dali´s own house and studio at Portlligat, a different experience with a very personal touch. Enter the room where he made most of his famous paintings. There was no place in the world more inspiring to him than the Portlligat and its surroundings. All-in-all this complete Dalí tour and enriching experience will create new perspectives and a deep understanding of the artist´s works, life and mind. We want to create the best possible Dalí tour for you to make you shine like Dalí´s mustache!! In Barcelona you will be picked up at your accommodation. This is a full day tour, approx. 10-11 hours. We offer an exclusive trip with small groups only of minimum 3 and maximum 6 attendees, which means that it will always be, at least, a semi-private tour. This way we keep it intimate and personal.
