Description
The tour begins in Cap de Creus Natural Park, located in the northeast of the Iberian Peninsula. From the cliffs, enjoy expansive views of the Gulf of Roses. Visit the lighthouse and explore the distinctive vegetation and rocky formations. Note that this part of the park is closed from June to September due to high fire risk.
Next, visit Cadaqués, a coastal town frequently depicted in Salvador Dalí's paintings and his longtime residence at Portlligat Bay. Walk through its narrow streets paved with spike-shaped stones, relax on the beaches, and visit the Church of Santa Maria perched at the village’s highest point.
After lunch, the tour proceeds to the Sant Pere de Rodes monastery on the Verdera mountains, 520 meters above sea level. The monastery offers commanding views of Port de la Selva Bay and the northern Cap de Creus massif. The site combines historical significance with mystery, as its origins involve legend and archaeology. The Romanesque church is noted for its unique architectural style within Catalonia.
