Description
The tour starts with a hotel pick-up in Barcelona at the agreed time. The first stop is in L'Escala on the Costa Brava for a kayak excursion. This coastal town in Alt Empordà offers more than 7 km of shoreline to explore.
After a safety briefing, you will paddle from Cala Montgó towards La Foradada natural tunnel. The route follows the coast of the Montgrí Natural Park, the Medes Islands, and the Baix Ter area, featuring limestone cliffs, small coves, and caves typical of Costa Brava.
Following the kayak adventure, a tasting of L'Escala’s renowned anchovies is included to replenish energy.
The tour continues to Girona for an afternoon exploration. Starting at the Stone Bridge (Pont de Pedra), you will view the Onyar River and the colorful riverside houses. The visit includes the Barri Vell (old town), with its narrow cobbled streets and historic sites such as Girona Cathedral, noted for its Baroque façade and the world’s widest Gothic nave. The cathedral was also a filming location for the TV series 'Game of Thrones'.
The city tour ends with a walk along Girona’s ancient walls, offering panoramic views and insight into medieval city defenses.
