Description

Your journey begins with hotel pick-up in Barcelona at the agreed time. The first stop is Girona, known as the “City of the Four Rivers.” Start at the Stone Bridge (Pont de Pedra) for views of the Onyar River and colorful riverside houses. Explore Girona’s Barri Vell old town with its narrow cobblestone streets and visit the Girona Cathedral, famous for its Baroque façade and the widest Gothic nave worldwide.

Walk along Girona’s ancient city walls to see the city’s defensive structures and enjoy panoramic city and landscape views accessible from multiple Old Town points.

Next, travel to the medieval village of Pals. Visit the Mirador del Pedró lookout for expansive views of the Empordà plain, rice fields, and on clear days, the Pyrenees. Descend through narrow streets with stone houses and flowers to the Torre de les Hores, a 12th-century Romanesque tower with a 15th-century bell tower.

Lunch in Pals offers a chance to enjoy local Mediterranean cuisine (not included). After lunch, a short drive brings you to Peratallada, another medieval village with a castle, city walls, moats, and palaces. Stroll the cobblestone streets and admire the stone façades, especially around Plaza de les Voltes, the town’s central square.

The tour concludes with a return to Barcelona and hotel drop-off.
