Wine & Beer Experiences in Costa Brava

Costa Brava isn’t just about stunning coastlines and medieval villages, it’s also where wine and beer take center stage in surprisingly down-to-earth ways.

If you fancy tasting some local garnacha or a pale ale brewed just down the road, you’re in luck. The region has small family vineyards like Mas Oller near La Bisbal d’Empordà, where you can walk the vineyards, chat with the winemaker, and never feel rushed. And don’t skip visiting a cava producer in the Penedès area on a whim, sometimes stopping in unannounced turns out to be the best experience.

Beer lovers, don’t sleep on Brava Beer Company in Roses, they craft some pretty interesting brews inspired by the sea air. The local vibe at their taproom is chill and unpretentious. Tip: Spring and early fall are perfect for combining a vineyard visit with a town market day for fresh cheeses and embotits to match your pours. Honestly, sometimes the simplest tastings with a few slices of local sausage make the best afternoons.
